The state minister for trade has been instructed by prime minister Sheikh Hasina to begin closely monitoring market conditions.
During today’s Monday unscheduled cabinet meeting, the prime minister issued the directive.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) hosted the meeting this morning, which was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Md. Mahbub Hossain, the cabinet secretary, later updated the reporters on the decisions made during the meeting.
He claimed that the state minister for business had received instructions from the prime minister to closely watch the markets.
Regarding this, the cabinet secretary went on to say that we noticed an unusual trend of price increases even when there was no shortage of specific products. In light of this, the prime minister gave the state minister for commerce stern instructions to begin keeping an eye on the market.
