In the SAFF U-20 Championship, Bangladesh triumphs

In the SAFF U-20 Championship final played on Wednesday at the ANFA Complex in Nepal, Bangladesh defeated host Nepal 4-1 thanks to a brace from forward Mirajul Islam.

To capture Bangladesh’s first-ever SAFF U-20 title in Nepal, forward Mirajul Islam scored a brace in the 46th and 54th minutes, while Rabby Hossain Rahul and Piash Ahmed Nova each scored one in the 69th and 95th minutes.

Nepal’s goal came from a solo effort by Samir Tamang in the 80th minute of play.
