Nurul Majid, a former minister of industries, was detained

Former Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun was taken into custody by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Wednesday morning in the Gulshan neighborhood of the city.

According to RAB, Nurul Majid was detained on suspicion of carrying out murderous attacks and attacks on August 4 during the student-people protest in the Madhabdi neighborhood of Narsingdi.

In response to the student-people movement, Sheikh Hasina resigned as prime minister on August 5 and departed the nation.

Since then, 34 people have been arrested, including key leaders of the Bangladesh Awami League and its allies, MPs, former ministers, and advisors to the ousted prime minister.
