As of Wednesday at 9:40 am, the Agargaon-Motijheel metro rail section’s operations have been discontinued.
The metro train service’s operating corporation, Dhaka Mass Transit corporation Ltd., made the announcement early on Facebook.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, train movement on the Agargaon-Motijheel section remained suspended as of 9:40 am. The Uttara-Agargaon segment is still in functioning, nevertheless. Once the Agargaon-Motijheel portion is operational, a statement will be issued. The message states, “The metro train officials apologize for this brief inconvenience.
Prothom Alo received confirmation from DMTCL’s deputy general manager (administration) that operations have been suspended.
“We hope the metro rail service will resume soon, but we are still determining the nature of the technical glitch,” he continued.
