The government moved nine senior officials, including one deputy commandant of the Ansar and VDP, to new positions on Sunday night, shortly after the altercation with the students inside and outside the secretariat.
In this regard, the home ministry’s Fouzia Khan, deputy secretary at Ansar Section-1 of the public security division, signed a gazette notice.
Deputy commandant Md Nurul Hasan Faridi was posted as a deputy director (DD) to the battalion’s Khulna range from Safipur, Gazipur.
In addition, eight deputy directors were moved from their existing positions.
DD Md Saifullah Russell was moved from Chattogram range to the operations headquarters in Dhaka. Shah Ahmad Fazle Rabbi traveled from Khulna to Rajshahi, Mohammad Abdul Awal traveled from Sylhet to Mymensingh, Kamrun Nahar traveled from Rajshahi to Safipur in Gazipur, Dr. Md. Saifur Rahman traveled from Mymensingh to Chattogram, Md. Ashraful Alam traveled from Barishal to Dhaka range, and Md. Ziaul Hasan traveled from Dhaka range to Sylhet.
The transfer order is about to go into effect.
