Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary for the top adviser, announced at a news conference on Wednesday that the interim government leader and other advisers will be hosting another round of talks with political parties beginning on Saturday.
With the major parties, there have already been two rounds of talks since the interim government was formed on August 8. The press secretary said that during the next discussions, a variety of current issues will be discussed, including reform commissions and the state of law and order.
In two or three days, Shafiqul Alam hoped, the reform commissions would be completed.
To implement reforms in six key areas—the electoral system, the judiciary, the police administration, the anti-corruption system, public administration, and the constitution—the government established a total of six commissions.
In keeping with the spirit of the July revolt and everyone’s hopes, the chief adviser expressed hope that the country will set out on a new path through these reforms when he made the statement on September 11.
