On June 17, Bangladesh witnessed the sighting of the moon during Eid-ul-Azha

One of the most important religious celebrations for Muslims, Eid-ul-Azha, will take place nationwide on June 17 in honor of the sighting of the Zilhajj crescent moon in Bangladesh.

The national moon sighting committee states that the month of Zilhajj starts on Saturday, June 8, and Eid is observed on the tenth day of the month.

On Friday night, the committee convened to make a decision regarding the Eid.
