On Sunday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid veteran BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leader Lal Krishna Advani a courtesy call at his New Delhi home.
“Both leaders discussed personal matters during the meeting,” Md. Mustafizur Rahman, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to India, according to BSS.
Additionally, he said, they struck up a conversation and talked about old times.
Sheikh Hasina traveled to New Delhi on Saturday in order to witness Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony to become prime minister of India on June 9th for a third term in a row.
Leading figures from Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and the Seychelles are in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.
At 4:30 p.m. (local time), Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay was supposed to make the prime minister of Bangladesh a courtesy call at her residence.
