According to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the free homes provided by the Ashrayan projects are giving the homeless and landless people a sense of dignity and respect for themselves.
Homes are being provided at no cost as part of several Ashrayan initiatives. Thus, the landless and homeless population’s standard of living has altered, giving them a sense of dignity and confidence in themselves. It is critical to Bangladesh’s progress,” the speaker stated.
The prime minister said this while presenting 18,566 additional dwellings to families who were homeless or without land as a gift before Eid nationwide as part of the government’s flagship Ashrayan-2 Prakalpa housing program, which aims to provide shelter for everyone.
Via video conference from an event at her official Ganabhaban mansion here, she gave the beneficiaries the houses together with the land ownership paperwork.
Sheikh Hasina declared, “We’re giving the houses as an Eid present.”
She stated that the people’s primary responsibility of her government is to serve them, since they have consistently elected her party into power and shown their confidence in the Awami League.
Our responsibility is to the people. My father declared himself to be the people’s servant. In keeping with my father’s footsteps, I am also employed as a public servant,” she stated.
According to the prime minister, her government is striving to provide the people with a better and more beautiful existence, as envisioned by the nation’s father.
Sheikh Hasina claimed that after 21 years of following the Father of the Nation’s footsteps, her administration first launched the Ashrayan project in 1997, providing homes to 70 families on Saint Martin Island in Cox’s Bazar.
