Md. Humayun Khan, 45, and Md. Rabiul Khan, 50, two brothers, perished in a traffic accident while traveling on a rented motorcycle to celebrate Eid at their village residence.
The siblings, who own a shoe company in Dhaka, planned to spend Eid in the Brahmanbaria village of Bijoynagar with their relatives.
Around 7:00 am on Monday, there was an accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria, near the Sohagpur bus stand.
According to family and police sources, Humayun and Rabiul left Dhaka early in the morning on Monirul Islam’s motorcycle in search of a village home. Around 7:00 am, their motorcycle lost control in the Ashuganj neighborhood of Sohagpur and collided with the road divider, sending them off. Humayun passed away instantly. Rabiul was pronounced dead by doctors at the district sadar hospital after locals brought him and Monirul there. There, Monirul has been receiving medical care. The bodies of two siblings were taken home by relatives.
Officer-in-charge of the Sarail Khatihata Highway Police Station According to Ashish Kumar Sanal, who quoted witnesses, the motorcycle was being driven carelessly by a fatigued driver.
Two siblings, according to the police spokesman, lacked helmets. The motorcycle is now being held. Sanal continued, “There is a procedure in place to file a case under the Transport Act.”
