In the second Test, Bangladesh wins the toss and puts Pakistan in to bat

Following the first day’s washout on Friday due to rain in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh won the toss and put Pakistan in to bat in the second Test on Saturday.

Pakistan lost the first Test by ten wickets, also in Rawalpindi, and now have just four days to win the two-match series.

Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed was substituted for the injured Shoriful Islam by Bangladesh, who had won their first Test match against Pakistan in fourteen years.

Pakistan sent in fast bowler Mir Hamza and spinner Abrar Ahmed while resting new-ball bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.

The two-game series is a part of the third cycle of the World Test Championship.

Bangladesh: Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed, Mominul Haque, Shadman Islam, Shakib Al Hasan, and Najmul Hossain Shanto (captain).

Pakistan: Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Agha Salman, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafique, and captain Shan Masood

Adrian Holdstock (RSA) and Michael Gough (ENG) are the umpires.

Richard Kettleborough (ENG) is the third umpire.

Referee for the match: Ranjan Madugalle (SRI)
