Locals detained journalists Mozammel Babu, Shyamal Dutta, and two others while they were breaking into India through the Dhobaura border area in the Mymensingh district.
Locals arrested and turned them over to police, according to Md Chan Mia, the official in charge of the Dhobaura police station. Around six in the morning, the people from the border area detained them in a private automobile.
Mahbubur Rahman, senior correspondent for Ekattor TV, and Selim, the driver of a private vehicle, are the other two people in custody.
According to the OC, the arrestees are still in police custody.
